Two minor girls in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior visited a police station with a complaint that their father used to beat their mother often. The girls demanded that their father should be arrested.

It was the usual hustle and bustle at Bhitarwar police station in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district. Police officers were doing their routine work when they saw two minor girls entering the police station with a complaint on behalf of their mother. And what was that? Their father used to beat their mother often. They demanded that their father should be arrested.

At the police station, the girls narrated their mother’s ordeal to the Bhitarwar police station in-charge, Pradeep Sharma, who, in turn, asked them to be comfortable and not be afraid.

After listening to the kids, the in-charge went to their house and met their parents. A counselling session was held for the parents and the in-charge told the couple not to quarrel amongst themselves as it could have a bad impact on their children.

“The minor girls had come to the police station with a complaint that their mother was being beaten by their father. We listened to their story. After that, we went to their house and met their parents. We advised them not to fight amongst themselves as this could negatively impact the children,” said Sharma.
