Young Man Dies of Heart Attack at Delhi Zoo, Wife Succumbs to Shock

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a young couple from Ghaziabad, married just a few months ago, faced a tragic fate within 24 hours. The day began with a visit to the Delhi zoo, but it ended with the sudden demise of 25-year-old Abhishek Ahluwali due to a heart attack. Unable to cope with the shock of her husband’s untimely death, Anjali, 25, tragically ended her own life by jumping from the seventh floor.

Abhishek and Anjali tied the knot on November 30, and on Monday, they decided to spend the day at the zoo. However, during their visit, Abhishek experienced chest pain, prompting Anjali to reach out to his friends for help. Abhishek was initially taken to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital and later referred to Safdarjung hospital.

Despite the medical efforts, Abhishek was declared dead later that day, with a heart attack identified as the cause of death. His lifeless body reached their home in Ahlcon Apartments, Ghaziabad’s Vaishali, around 9 pm. Overwhelmed by the shock of her husband’s sudden demise, Anjali rushed to the seventh-floor balcony and jumped. She was immediately taken to Max Hospital, Vaishali, with severe injuries and, sadly, passed away in the early hours of the next day.

Babita, a relative of Abhishek, shared the heart-wrenching account, stating, “After the body was brought home, she sat next to it, weeping. Then she suddenly got up and ran towards the balcony. I figured that she was going to jump. I ran after her, but before I could stop her, she had jumped.”

Sanjiv, another relative, recounted the efforts made to save Abhishek, mentioning that he was first taken to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital and then to Safdarjung hospital. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, they couldn’t save him, leaving the family in deep sorrow.

The tragic incident once again highlights the concerning trend of young adults succumbing to heart attacks. Instances of sudden cardiac events among young individuals during various activities, from festive events to gym sessions, have been reported with increasing frequency over the past couple of years.
