Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi bereaved: Leaders express condolence

Chennai: The Telangana Governor, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and leaders of various political parties here have expressed their deep condolence at the passing away of the father-in-law of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswami, Thiru Kaliannan Gounder, in Salem on Sunday following a cardiac arrest. Mr. Palaniswami had been camping in Salem for the past two days.
Dr Tamilisai, who was earlier Tamil Nadu BJP president before being elevated as Telangana Governor, spoke to Mr. Palaniswami over the telephone and expressed her deep sorrow at the bereavement in the Chief Minister’s family.
While the PMK president, G K Mani, personally called on Mr. Palaniswami at Salem to convey his party’s condolence, the PMK founder-leader and the party’s youth wing leader, Dr S Ramadoss and Dr Anbumani Ramadoss respectively, conveyed their condolences over the telephone, according to a release here on Monday.
