Captioning the photo, Mr. Sharma wrote, “Today I found a photo taken a few days after the wedding.” The IPS officer’s remarkable journey from being a “12th Fail” to inspiring the film ’12th Fail,’ starring Vikrant Massey, has garnered attention. The film portrays the inspirational trajectory of Mr. Sharma’s life, highlighting his ascent from poverty.
In the shared photo, Officer Sharma is dressed in his uniform, standing alongside his wife, Shraddha Joshi, who wears a yellow saree, against the backdrop of a river. Notably, Ms. Joshi is an officer of the Indian Revenue Services (IRS) and initially served as a deputy collector in Nainital after clearing the exams in 2005. Subsequently, she secured an All India Rank of 121 in the UPSC and joined the IRS.
Their journey together began as they attended tuition classes to prepare for UPSC exams, and their relationship has flourished ever since.
